Oh my oh my...do I ever have the makings for a lot of quilts just from my 2.5" hsts alone. Over the past couple days I have continued to work on my 2.5" hst bins and I now have another 2000 completed. I am officially inundated with these hsts.
I have decided to start with making some split nine patches and I got four blocks made this morning. These four blocks are not well pressed yet because I am not too sure about the final layout and I don't know which way I want the seams to go. I will take care of the final pressing once I have that figured out.
Look at that - I have used up 12 hsts - lol. At this rate it will be a very long time before I see the bottom of the bins. I will just churn these blocks out until I think I have enough for a quilt and in the meantime I will have to decide about other hst blocks that I can make. I have been thinking about making broken dishes, birds in the air, stars, and, of course, pinwheels but I don't have any design ideas or plans at the moment. I think I just need to start sewing and see what I come up with.

welcome back! glad you're sewing again- it's good for you!
I can only imagine what 2000 HSTs must look like. Yikes! So many choices, so little time. Love what you are playing with. Enjoy! ;^)
That's a lot of HST to play with. Happy sewing!
While these Split Nine Patches don't use up very many HSTs individually, they make a fabulous impact in a completed quilt! Just keep sewing. :o))
Right, to Mis-quote Dory from Finding Nemo, "Just keep sewing, just keep sewing..."
That's a lot of sewing and you will end up with a lot of blocks and quilts
Here is a good idea to use up heaps of them.
