I made my blocks with two different fabrics in each plus a neutral. The focus fabrics are all purples even though the second block is so dark that it looks almost black.
Because of fabric placement I don't really see the circular design in the top block and it looks very square to me. Although, if I squint I can see the larger ring. ;) The second and third blocks look different compared to the first because the ring around the center block has much more definition.
I think this block has lots of possibilities and I may take some time to play with it a bit. Who knows....I just may start another quilt. :)

Lovely blocks; I like the way you've placed the different fabrics.
I thought the same thing when I was making these wishing ring blocks.
But then I started wishing I wouldn't start so many new projects! LOL
Pretty blocks! I think the rings stand out just fine.
Nice, I did one of my blocks with two colours and it is my favourite. Yours look great.
What you said about your color placement and not seeing the outer ring made me go back to my post from last week and look at my purple blocks - and sure enough mine are the same way because of my fabric placement! That wasn't something I was paying attention to when I made them. Oh well, these are pretty blocks in purple no matter what - I really like yours!
Your blocks are pretty and it is very interesting how the color/fabric placement changes their look. I like yours.
It really is amazing how much fabric placement changes the components that stand out in this block. LOVE that each of your blocks are unique!
Hi Ellen
Your blocks look great. I can see why there is the possibility of another quilt in mind.
Love sis
I think that variation in the rings is an interesting design element, and if it happens with your other colors and you mix them around in the quilt, it will be quite fascinating.
These look like fun!
I like the second ring effect in the bottom block. Playing with different color layouts is so much fun.
