A Visit and Some Quilting

Now that we are having a break from the bitter cold weather my quilty sister Cheryl came for a visit and she brought a quilt top with her. It is a very simple design and very manly looking as per the request of her son Kevin. He wanted a new quilt that would suit an adult male. :) I think her quilt turned out fabulous and I am pretty certain that Kevin is going to love it!

Cheryl chose to quilt it with a pantograph called Fluent by Hermione Agee and I really like this one. She used 80/20 cotton/poly batting and brown Cansew #6767 thread on top and brown magnaglide in the bobbin.

Peanut is so cute and tiny - a little ball of curly fluff!
It was so nice to have a visit and a chat over a cup of tea. I feel so fortunate that I have at least one sister that shares and enjoys this wonderful hobby.

After one of our tea breaks Cheryl returned to the frame to finish loading her backing and she found Peanut curled up and asleep on the dangling fabric. It was so cute but by the time I got the camera and took the photo we had already disturbed her and she got up. My pups like quilting too. :)

My kind of quilt a simple shape repeated. Her fabric choices are wonderful too! My dog Max always gets on a quilt if it is on the floor. I wonder what makes them think it is for them. Ha Ha
