I have decided that in 2018 I will be making lots of crumb and string blocks. I haven't made any particular decisions on which quilt patterns or designs that I will use though. I have put aside some patterns and photos of quilts that I think would work for this long term project and I will continue to add to the possibilities. This project will definitely not be a race and it will happen as it happens. I am hoping that I will get
One of the issues with making crumb/string blocks is the mess. So, I plan to set up an area and a sewing machine specifically for this task. I think it will make it a lot more likely that I will work on the blocks on a regular basis if there is easy access.

LOVE that cove quilt!! I also enjoy making string and crumb blocks. Setting up a separate sewing station is a GREAT idea! I wish I had thought of that when I made them during 2015 and 2016 Rainbow Scrap Challenge @ So Scrappy blog. Switched to a couple new projects during 2017, but managed to finish my Rainbow Strings quilt. SEW much fun!!

Hello Ellen,
what a beautiful quilt. I love such srappy quilt very much. I'll have a look at this quilt in the beginning of 2018. I'll think about a dark background, because I need a new quilt for the camper.
All the best for you
