En Provence Quilting is Done!

hanging off the frame
Oh my this is a very large and beautiful quilt! I am so glad that I decided to make this Bonnie Hunter mystery quilt - it was time consuming to make it but so worth it. :)

I loaded it on the frame the other day but I didn't get a chance to start quilting it until yesterday.

Normally, once I start quilting I like to just get it done all at once but I had to take a break from it yesterday so that I could go to my exercise class. Happily, when I got back I was able to easily pick up where I had left off. I find that if my mood changes, or any other factors like muscle stiffness occur, it really does affect my quilting rhythm.

Anyway, back to my beautiful quilt - I just had to take a few photos - I love it!

I am looking forward to trimming it and making the binding as soon as possible so that I can start hand-stitching the binding.

So, what I hear you saying is I should get back on this quilt and get mine too???? Uh, especially since she has already posted her next upcoming mystery which I want to do to. And yours is gorgeous!!! That alone is enough to make me want to get back at it!!! Beautiful finish. You have done a great job on it. And the binding part...... by hand or by machine? (I don't know if I like the machine. Would love the speed of it, but not sure the look of it over sewing it down by hand.) Love this post. Thanks for the get back to it hint!!

Hi Ellen

En Provence looks so beautiful Ellen. The quilting looks fantastic. I love how the beige was added in the border as four patches.

Love sis

It IS beautiful, Ellen! No wonder you are so pleased! I just love it when I feel good vibes from something I’ve worked so hard on, don’t you?

It is beautiful Ellen. Definitely worth all the effort! I have never donw a Quitville mystery due to time constraints, but perhaps I will download the steps as they are released and plan on "later" this time around.
