Contrast can be difficult when using scraps. I had to dig pretty deep to find some lighter blues. In the finished quilt though, it is nice to have low contrast blocks along with the high contrast. Best of all -- look at the scraps you have put to good use.
I know what you mean about finding contrast in colors. I also have trouble finding bright colors in my stash. Your blocks are pretty. The most important thing is you are using your stash.
Hi Ellen,
I think it doesn't matter if there are some dark blue blocks. They'll look great with other blue blocks.
Have a nice weekend and take care

I think they look really nice. I'd love to see a whole quilt made from the middle block in all different colors.
Pretty blocks. I think Angela is right, some lower contrast blocks will look fine mixed in with all other higher contrast ones. My first attempt didn't have a lot of contrast either.
I love your blocks and I think they will look wonderful in your quilt.
I know what you mean. Lucky me. I found some a scrap of white with blue flowers to use. Had that piece of fabric for years.
I think they look great - maybe when you set them together you can add some contrast.
Scraps are challenging that way but that's part of what makes scrap quilt so interesting to look at.
I think your scrappy blocks look great! Some very nice dark blues in them.
I quite like the sharp contrast in your colour choices. This could make for a very dramatic statement.
Hi Ellen
I think your blocks look wonderful. Love the blues in them. I agree it is always nice to have some darker blocks too. Love sis
Just think how meat they will look next to a yellow or orange block! The look great Ellen.
They look nice! Since I've always been a cut my scraps up person I've pulled a few from my bins. Some months I might have to cut a chunk from stash to get by (don't tell!!).
I too pulled my background fabric from my stash....teehee...but am loving digging through my big scrap box every week!!!
You sew some nice blue blocks. Well done.
I think your blocks look great. I don't think they all need a lot of contrast depending on final size of the quilt. I've seen some quilts with very little contrast that I just fell in love with.
