January Block Lotto Blocks
I received the instructions for these blocks earlier in December as a sneak peak with directions to not post photos until Jan 1. Sophie supplied guidelines on the colours we were to use and instructions on one way to make the blocks. She also noted that there are many other ways to make them and that would be fine as long as they resulted in the same block.
I opted to use my Easy Angle ruler and cut 4" strips of white background fabric and the main fabric. It was just a matter of laying the fabric strips right sides together and cutting out the matched sets of triangles. From there it was very easy to sew the triangles into pairs and then into sets. The resulting chevron block is 7.5" x 14.5" and will finish at 7" x 14". Quick and easy to do and I think they turned out pretty good!
