Garden Notes is Finished!

It has been just over four months since I last posted to my blog - wow - time does fly by! I thought I would pop in and give an update on the last quilt that I posted about. This was a quilt that my sister Glenda asked me to make for her friend.

Well....I finally finished it and I even made and attached the binding and the label for her so all she needs to do is flip the binding over and stitch it to the back of the quilt and fill in the details on the label.

Glenda chose these fabrics based on her friend's hobbies of gardening and music and I think I managed to put them together into a pretty good looking quilt. :)

I quilted it with a medium tan thread on top (Cansew #6711) and light tan MagnaGlide in the bobbin. Glenda chose the pantograph Maple Syrup by Jodi Beamish and I think it suits the quilt very well.

I used leftovers of the maple leaf fabric for the binding but I didn't have quite enough so I added a small bit of the brown instrument fabric that I also used for the back.

She is very happy with the results!
