Dish Cloths

For Christmas this year, I will be giving my Mom some knitted dishcloths. She can use them as washcloths instead if she chooses to do so but I think they do a great job on dishes. These are so quick to knit and even though I am not really much of a knitter I can manage them fairly easily. As you can see I already have two made. I want to make several more so my goal is to make one per day over the next week or so.

I am using a very simple and easy pattern and I think they look great when done. I am always amazed that you wrap a piece of string around a stick and use another stick to manipulate the string and voila....you have fabric. I am also amazed at the number of different knitting stitches that can be made. Whoever figured this out was brilliant!

I am linking up with Kathy's Quilts Slow Sunday Stitching.

Very pretty! Care to share the pattern? Love the edges. I am getting sick of the same ones I make =)

Beautiful dishcloth. Your stitches are all even and pretty. Love the color too. Maybe I should get some knitting out too. You are tempting me. ;^)

Hand knitted dishcloths are a nice gift. Coincidentally, I have often wondered who invented knitting. The outcoming is amazing.
