Celtic Solstice - Step 6

Bonnie surprised us with the full quilt reveal on New Year's Eve and since then so many participants have already completed their tops. They are quick, quick, quick! I am not that far yet but I have got lots of blocks in various stages of completion. I stuck a few up on the design wall to have a little peek at how mine might look when it is finished and....maybe I need to put a few more up on the wall to get a better overall look.

I love the colour scheme but things do look a bit busy to me. When I make a scrap quilt I do tend to go a bit crazy with my fabric selections but when it is all finished I have a gorgeous quilt!

I am linking up with other participants at Quiltville. Pop on over to check out the other links.

When you only have a few blocks, it does look busy. But once you have more laid out, you get the overall pattern and color tapestry, kind of like looking at a painting up close then stepping back and seeing the real picture.

Love seeing these come together everywhere! I'm like you, scrappy, scrappy so projects like this always end up a bit busy. It looks great anyway!

I really like how the secondary patterns like the circles show up. I'm not really crazy about the colors scheme but I do love the overall look of it and the scrappiness of it and think I'll have to eventually make one. I guess I had better go copy off the pattern before it disappears!
